I am 198 cm tall and weigh 104 kg.
I have had problems with my intervertebral disc and other tensions in my back for years.
I have had the chair for two weeks now. The chair is very adjustable and is also suitable for tall people. The service is first class.
I was contacted by a service employee who offered a longer spring so that the chair would fit my height.

I have never experienced such a comfortable seat on a chair and the chair can also be adjusted perfectly to my height.
Normally, when I sit for long periods of time, I get a tingling sensation in my intervertebral disc that radiates down into my leg.

I was able to experience relief on the first evening and the tingling in my intervertebral disc was no longer there.
The armrests can be adjusted high enough, even for my height, that I can rest my arms comfortably and thereby relieve the pressure on my back.
In my opinion, a really great product.

At the beginning, the chair was very strange, I had slight pain, but that’s probably because you’re not used to a chair like that, so your muscles had to get used to it. It felt like sore muscles. After 2 days, the chair became more and more comfortable. After adjusting it and getting used to it a bit, the chair is pure perfection for me (you have to take 10 minutes and adjust it perfectly, watch a video on the internet about how to adjust the lumbar support, arm angle, etc. etc.).

I’ve tried so many orthopedic chairs, but they were only ever suitable for prevention… but if you’ve already had 3 slipped discs, a broken lumbar spine, a broken thoracic vertebra, you need something gentle.

This is the first chair that doesn’t cause me any pain. I feel much better and am very happy/satisfied! I can also cross one leg, the chair compensates for everything and my back is perfectly supported.

The only “drawback” are the welds, which were not cleaned very well on the chrome objects and were simply chrome-plated over… well, the chair once cost €300 in the USA, I think the current price is due to inflation and working from home in Germany. Still, it’s worth every cent to me.

I hope that the rubber buffers mounted on the back and seat for movement will last a long time – that’s my only concern about wear and tear, but the spare parts
are cheap in case you have to replace them in a few years.

Customer service is premium… you forget that there is also good customer service :P.

Even if the chair is a bit too expensive in my opinion, I’m satisfied, because even a €1400 chair can’t even come close to competing with this chair (in terms of pain).

I’ve NEVER used it for a month now… there will be an update in 2 years, I’m excited to see if everything holds up! 🙂

I had been thinking for a long time about whether I should buy this chair. After all, it is not cheap. But I have had many cheaper models before that broke or were uncomfortable after a relatively short time. Here, everything was right from the start. Shortly after placing the order, a very friendly lady called me and gave me competent advice, which also led to me choosing a different model – not with the aim of selling me an even more expensive chair, but with the aim of finding the right one for me and my back/hip problems. The chair that I am using now is just as expensive as the one I originally ordered. It was very easy to assemble. It is very comfortable to sit on, and, as some of the other reviewers have already written, you don’t even want to get up. Even worse: I regularly fall asleep on it when I work on it in the evening, because I don’t have any more problems anywhere. It’s a good thing that I use the chair at home…
As I wrote, I have no regrets about the purchase and can only recommend the advice and the chair.

Sitting on chairs is an individual matter. I have found a very good model for me in the Hara chair. After several weeks of testing, I can make this judgment.

Ultimately, everyone has to find out for themselves during a test period!

The chair is perfectly made, very robust, a real “quality piece of work”. The assembly is well described in pictures and text in German, the few tools required are included and are permanently stored under the seat (in case you need them after a few years when moving house, for example). Clever!

Sitting for longer periods has become possible for me again thanks to the split seat and backrest. Nevertheless, I take breaks from sitting, which I would recommend to anyone with back problems (despite the chair). Think about your back!

I bought this swivel chair because I was completely dissatisfied with my old swivel chair (which was also ergonomic but of unacceptable quality).

For a few years now I have had a pulling sensation in my groin, which originates in my lumbar spine, which is particularly aggravated by incorrect posture when sitting. My main requirement for an office chair was and is that it “forces” me into an ergonomic posture that counteracts my back pain.

First of all: The “Hara Chair Nietzsche” essentially delivers exactly what I was looking for!

The split seat and split backrest naturally take a little getting used to at first. It took me around two weeks to adjust the adjustable elements so that I could sit comfortably. But once you have found the right setting, you don’t have to worry about it anymore.

It can take a few days until then, though.

The seat can be adjusted forwards and backwards. The backrest can be adjusted up and down; on the other hand, the distance between the two back cushions can also be set. I personally find it most comfortable when the back cushions are as far apart as possible. I have the seat in a middle position. Of course, the seat height and armrests can also be adjusted. The chair can be tilted continuously and the resistance can also be adjusted.

The patented two-part seat is particularly positive compared to other swivel chairs. The weight of the upper body is distributed and does not rest entirely on the spine, which is particularly noticeable when sitting for longer periods. Information about the patent can be found at harastuhl.de

Depending on how much exercise and sport I do, the concept of this swivel chair helps to alleviate my symptoms more or less. An ergonomic office chair cannot – and everyone who chooses a model in this price range should be aware of this – be a substitute for exercise and sport. I was aware of that myself, of course, before I ordered this chair, and so this is not meant as criticism, but as a note to all potential buyers. This swivel chair does not perform miracles, but it does make sitting much more comfortable – especially if you have back problems.

The workmanship seems to be very solid and of high quality. Apart from a few quiet noises when turning or tilting the chair, I have not noticed anything so far. The chair seems absolutely robust, which is what it should be in this price range. I cannot yet judge whether various background noises develop during use; I would add this here if necessary.

Finally, a few words about contact with the seller: The day after I placed my order, I was contacted by the manager, Ms. Gruber, by phone. In my experience so far, it is rather unusual for a German company to call Austria, especially when the customer has already ordered. I was very pleasantly surprised! Ms. Gruber asked about my problems and wanted to know my age and height, just to make sure that this chair was the right one. Fortunately, with my problems and a height of 1.83 meters, I chose the right chair. A very friendly salesperson and a really nice contact!

A few days later, I wrote Ms. Gruber an email because I wanted to know something about the recommended height of the backrest. Ms. Gruber called me again and gave me detailed advice. Really great!

Conclusion after around 1.5 months: For my problems, this chair is certainly the best possible addition to lots of exercise. The two-part seat really makes sense and noticeably relieves the strain on the intervertebral discs. I would buy the “Hara Chair Nietzsche” again at any time and give it full marks.

Because I no longer felt 100% comfortable with my previous chair, I looked into the topic of ‘orthopedic and ergonomic chairs’ in detail and came across the company Hara Tech. The website was very informative. The exact issue that causes me the most problems (pelvic area) was described very clearly for me. Because the reviews on Amazon were also positive, I decided on the Nietzsche-V. I placed the order on Saturday, December 22nd, 2012. Immediately after the holidays (on December 27th, 2012) I received a call from Ms. Gruber, who asked in great detail what my problems were, how tall I am, what I weigh, and how long I sit at my desk. The advice was very friendly and competent. You had the feeling that you were in a specialist shop in person and not just being advised over the phone. She even said that the ‘Zenon’ chair might be more suitable for me, but that after a week of trying it out, the backrest could be replaced if I didn’t get on with the Nietzsche.

She explained the differences between the two chairs very clearly.

The Nietzsche was delivered very quickly and was assembled in no time; you don’t need any tools; it’s really child’s play.

I was very skeptical about this futuristic piece at first and tried out all sorts of sitting positions.

The two backrests fit like gloves and support the back on both sides.

Since they can be set to ‘fixed’ or ‘movable’, everyone has to try out for themselves which is more comfortable.

I change the setting depending on how I feel that day, but often also during the day.

The backrest can also be set to be movable or rigid.

Here too, I sometimes change the setting during the day.

The two separate seat parts also take some getting used to, but after just a few hours
I noticed that there was no longer any pressure in the pelvic area.

I also noticed that I sit more upright and closer to the desk, which means that
I can rest my forearms more comfortably when typing than before.

My chiropractor noticed after just 2 days that his treatment
in connection with the chair had led to a significantly improved result.

The chair is obviously in a higher price segment, but if you regularly
sit at a desk for 8-12 hours like me, you simply cannot skimp on the seating.

I can only warmly recommend the chair!

ADDENDUM on April 2nd: after spending almost 12 hours a day on this chair for a good 3 months now, all I can say is: do something good for your back!

I haven’t had back pain for a long time and finally feel comfortable on an office chair!

I rarely (or never) write reviews, but I can’t help it here.

First of all, many thanks to Ms. Gruber, who made the impossible possible with regard to delivery… faster than Amazon allows. 😉
A very nice, competent and committed contact! After my order, she made sure that I had really ordered the right chair for my physical circumstances (height, weight, potential back problems).

But now to the chair itself:
It was quickly assembled, but finding the right setting takes a little more time.
I had initially left the backrest too far back, but after adjusting it, it was much more comfortable.

You also have to sit in it a little to get used to the unusual seat.
At the beginning, my bottom hurt a little, felt similar to sore muscles.

But I endured it and am now very pleased with the chair, which I have now “owned” for 6 weeks (in the truest sense of the word).

It’s good for my back because I can sit on it in a very dynamic way.
And I now find it extremely comfortable. I use it at my desk at home and have dozed off on it several times (although even after a long day in the office).

I can only recommend this chair and encourage anyone interested to give themselves a good week to get used to the chair.

It’s worth it!

I have tried out many very expensive office chairs to alleviate my back pain. My problem: I have 3 injuries in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine areas. So, I’m a construction site. Most chairs give me headaches or at least back pain after a while. My working days are also quite extended, so I spend a long time on a chair like this.

First of all, I was very surprised when I got a call from the manufacturer before the shipment and they asked me why I had chosen this chair. After a consultation – mind you, “after ordering” (!) – the chair was confirmed as being right for me, my pain and my height/weight and was shipped. It was relatively easy to assemble, although I was surprised by the weight and the fairly solid workmanship. It was immediately positive. The first test seat took some getting used to, but it was very comfortable. Since I’ve been using it, I haven’t had any new headaches. The fine adjustment will take some time. I don’t really like the resistance of the backrest when leaning back – it could be a bit harder. But otherwise everything is great so far. I will write another update in 3-6 months.

I am very happy with the chair and the great advice.

The individual settings of the chair allow for healthy sitting as needed, which can counteract tension and pain. You couldn’t ask for more in your home office. The luxurious purchase and the comfort are worth it.

If you weigh like an elf, do a lot of sport and only have to do a little desk work, then I congratulate you, because then you don’t need to read any further. For all the others who have to sit for up to 12 hours at work or in their private life, the orthopedic situation looks rather bleak. But there is a solution in sight.

When I ordered the chair, I got a call from Ms. Gruber, who invited me to Lauingen to find and adjust the right chair for me.
The sitting experience was so fantastic that I would have preferred to stay in her office.

I suspect that the price is a little off-putting for most people, but on the other hand, if they are in pain when sitting, then money is the least of their problems. Especially when it comes to your own health, there should be no false economy. Dear frequent, heavy and long-term sitters, you are investing in your own health.

The chair is made in Korea – but I say that with respect, because it is the best chair I have ever had under my buttocks and back in terms of sitting at my desk.

After ordering, I received friendly advice over the phone from the German distributor, but I ended up sticking with the chair I had originally ordered. Because of the color, it took a few days longer (they were probably out of stock) but it was delivered within a week.

The individual parts alone seem very high quality, and assembly is really easy and can be done in a maximum of 10 minutes. Overall, the chair is really stable (I weigh 130 kg after all) and it is incredibly relaxed and comfortable to sit on. I don’t want anything else. My high-quality chair at work now sometimes seems really uncomfortable to me…………. if I ever need a new one, I will try to get a Hara chair here too.

After a lot of research, I decided on the Hara chair. I’ve had it for two days and can’t imagine how I could cope without it. The delivery was very quick and without any problems. The Haratech company gave me very good advice on the phone and recommended the Zenon model for my disc problems. That made sense to me and I changed my mind without further ado. I have no regrets. They give excellent advice and don’t just want to sell their products – where else can you find that these days? 10 stars for that!!!!! The feeling of sitting is a real cure for my disc problems – you sit more upright, are supported and can work much more relaxed. There are many chairs, but none that counteract the problems so specifically. The price-performance ratio here is 100% right. Never again another office chair. I can only recommend it.

I can only recommend this chair. I ordered the chair and about 24 hours later I got a call directly from HARA CHAIR. The friendly service employee asked me about my weight, what kind of sitting habits I have, whether I have any back problems and what kind. After about 36 hours the chair arrived. At first I was worried because my back pain wasn’t getting better but was changing. Today I no longer have any pain when sitting for long periods. I also walk more than before; that also contributes to it.

So I’m really excited about the chair and also the seller.
One day after ordering I got a call and they discussed the chair with me, i.e. whether it was suitable for my size / weight / back problems. 6 days after ordering the package (27kg 🙂 ) was at my door.
The assembly turned out to be very easy, most of the parts were already pre-assembled and you just had to put them together using screw connections.
And now for sitting, the chair pleasantly “persuades” you to adopt a sensible posture, it’s very comfortable to sit on, not only do you notice that your back relaxes, but I also have to say that my hemorrhoids are now rejoicing because they are not being put under strain 🙂

A great chair that I can now sit on for hours without discomfort after developing back problems as I got older. The well-padded, split seats are ideal because they adjust independently to the angle of the buttocks and thighs (adjustment in the direction of sitting). Nothing is left to be desired when it comes to the adjustment options for the split backrests and armrests (height and width adjustable). Before buying, I was concerned about whether the split seats and backrests could actually achieve the effects promised by Hara. For me, the chair did everything it promised.

Sitting on this chair is unlike any other office chair. The price seems relatively high at first glance, but only at first glance. If you sit for 8 hours or more a day, a good rest is as important as a good mattress. After a double herniated disc, I am forced to look at things more sensitively. But the best part is now. After a few disagreements during assembly (the dealer is not to blame), I contacted them by email. On the same day, a very nice lady called and sorted out the matter in a way that is second to none. Perfect, uncomplicated and friendly customer service! You feel that there are still providers who value the health and satisfaction of their customers. The product was also delivered very quickly.

Shortly after ordering the Nietzsche chair, a very nice and helpful woman (the boss herself) called me and clarified my height, weight and any existing pain with me in order to enable a smooth and tailored purchase, very exemplary.

The chair itself was assembled within 10 minutes, no special tools are required.

The chair adjusts perfectly to your bottom and back, so that after a few hours you don’t want to get down. The headrest can also be individually adjusted. It’s really worth investing a little more money in a really good chair like this, especially if you spend many hours in front of the computer. I would recommend this chair to anyone who has the money. 🙂

Needed a new office chair and visited all the furniture stores and office suppliers. Nothing there and I have also sat on chairs costing over €1000. Came across this chair on the internet and ordered it. Put it together straight away (very easy) and sat on it –> Damn chair, totally uncomfortable. But I had read (there are almost only great reviews) that at the beginning not everything fit for anyone. So I endured it for several days (burning pain in the back and vertebrae) and then… wow. In any case, I am not giving it away –> incredibly good seating feeling (after 4 days) and highly recommended. If it ever breaks –> I will go back to this chair. Lots of adjustment options for height and width, headrest and armrest also fit / I am 1.78m and weigh 100kg

You just sit well on the chair!
The split seat and backrest may look a bit strange at first, but you forget about them after the first minute once you’ve sat down. The many adjustment options mean that even a tall person like me (over 1.95m) can finally sit comfortably.

The seller contacted me 10 minutes after placing my order to make sure that the chair was the right one for me (height; weight; expectations).
The delivery came two days later.
The assembly was completely straightforward.
It is super comfortable to sit on. The split backrests provide support and allow you to sit completely upright.

A small adjustment aid could have been included. But you can manage it anyway.

YES, the chair is still alive and well without any major signs of wear and tear!

Of course, the office chair is not cheap, but the quality ultimately pays off in the relaxed sitting position. It is easy to assemble and the adjustments must of course be made according to your natural body measurements. But then the sitting experience is simply relaxed.
The split backrest and seat are remarkable; the parts of the spine that are most stressed are no longer held in a forced position. Simply brilliant.

This was a very good choice. One of the cheaper models in the orthopedic chair sector. The company contacted me immediately after purchase for advice. Very friendly and competent. I can only say positive things. If the chair lasts for years to come, then it is worth every euro. Sitting badly is usually more expensive.

Easy to assemble, stable. It’s simply great to use. There’s nothing more to say. The best thing was the call back from the owner of the company, who asked about my body measurements and decided whether the chair I ordered was the right one or maybe another one (even if it doesn’t cost as much). Since then, my wife has seen even less of me. Great chair, although it’s a bit tight for my weight. The chair is more comfortable for people under 100kg.

Yes, the chair is expensive, but it’s worth every cent. When I had a little more money for the first time in my life 10 years ago, I decided to get this chair, as I was already sitting at my desk in my home office and playing after work.

You have to get used to it for a while and then you don’t want to get up. And I – the only one in the family – still have no problems with my back or bottom.

When this year – after 10 years – the base and later a spring broke due to material fatigue, I was very disappointed at first, but it’s no problem to get a replacement from hara chair and replace it yourself.

Every part is, it seems, replaceable. A model of sustainability.
So you really will have this chair for life!

I bought this chair about 7 years ago and since then I haven’t had any back pain. It is perfect for office work and is super comfortable. Added to that is the exceptionally good and friendly service. Even after the warranty had expired, I was helped with small parts free of charge. It is normal that these small parts are worn out after 7 years. So in summary: Simply a perfect chair from an incredibly nice supplier or producer!!! Highly recommended!!! 😀

7 years ago I actually ordered a different model, but after a phone call with the manufacturer I was convinced that this model, which is a little cheaper than the one I had chosen, would be more suitable for me.

The chair is comfortable when adjusted correctly, even after many hours and so many years.

I can’t say anything about pain relief, as I haven’t had any problems so far.

With my chair I often had to put the headrest back into the right position, even though I always tightened the screw. A profile at the contact point could have prevented this, I think. Perhaps something like this has been adjusted in the meantime. With my chair a small wedge cut to size prevents it from sinking.

If the chair ever needs to be replaced, I will definitely check whether this or a similar model is still available. The price was quite high, but the chair works and lasts a very long time.

I got permission from my company to get an ergonomic office chair. I tested and looked at a lot of things but nothing was right for me until I came across Hara Chair. I ordered the HARA CHAIR ZEN-LS 01 for the company. I have two lumbar spine prolapses and a plate in the cervical spine with a height of 193cm and 100KG. The chair allows me to create a very balanced sitting/standing combination with my height-adjustable table. My lumbar spine problems are no longer relevant and I can sit for long periods. In order not to always have to move the chair back and forth between the home office and the company, I also bought one for home but a different model: HARA CHAIR NIE 01 which is also flexible in the back. I can only recommend this office chair to anyone with cervical spine and lumbar spine problems. I sit for up to 12 hours on work-intensive days and have no pain. You also get detailed advice before you buy.

I bought this chair in 2013 when looking for a comfortable chair when working from home. I was tempted by the design and curious about the split seat. It takes a bit of getting used to as its a quite non-conventional design. However, after a week or two I got used to it and have used it since. It’s a comfortable chair and is easy on the back with nice adjustable support. I use it for approximately 3 days a week for about 10 hour days and can do that comfortably on this chair.
The chair is weighty and of good quality. The adjustable supports require tightening properly to stay in place. Overall a nice product. The soft wheels are easy on laminate flooring too.

I’ve had the chair for about 3 years now. I think the chair is great. I sit at my desk a lot and for long periods of time and was looking for a chair that would help me to avoid making my back pain (lower back) worse. The Hara chair helps because of the split seat. I no longer have any pain.

I’ve had the chair for a week now and I’m absolutely thrilled! This feeling is simply indescribable! It’s as if euphoric feelings of happiness are crawling over your butt cheeks into your stomach! I don’t even want to get up anymore! People, buy this chair, damn it!

I was very impressed by the first-class support even after 8 years.

I am absolutely delighted and don’t want to sit any other way. The resin is fantastic. I bought it because I had long-term problems sitting on my bottom with previous chairs. They disappeared immediately. But as a side effect, the resin stabilizes my back perfectly. I can sit for hours without having any problems.
In addition, the service is excellent. Sara calls AFTER the order and payment to make sure that the selected order meets your needs. It was perfect, as was the product. I have never sat better.

I originally ordered the “Zenon” simply because of its appearance. The health aspect was just a precautionary measure for me. One day after ordering, a nice lady from Haratech called me for a short consultation. The main points were my height, weight and whether I had any previous damage to my discs/back. I am 1.90m tall and have no problems. The chair is supposed to be more of a precautionary measure. Due to these circumstances, I was advised against the “Zenon” model, as it would be better suited to people who had already had problems with their discs, etc. due to its lumbar support. For healthy people, I was recommended the “Nietzsche-V”, which I then took after sufficient explanations from the other side. A NEW feature of the chairs is that the entire backrest can now be adjusted in height. People over 1.85m complained of shoulder tension and as a result, the chairs were probably tweaked a bit. With the height adjustment, this should now be over.

The chair arrived very quickly (with UPS) and assembly was incredibly easy (unpacking + 5 minutes)! The materials and everything around it make a very solid impression…and everything feels very high quality too.

It then takes some time to align everything optimally to your body. That means adjusting…sitting…readjusting…sitting…etc. until you sit and say PERFECT. Yes, there is no denying that you have to get used to the NEW way of sitting with the individual parts on your bottom and back, but once you have mastered the time, it is simply great.

With my old chair, I had to get up every hour because my bottom hurt a bit or I had a numb feeling when I went to sleep. With the new one, I don’t have these problems at all. Of course, I still get up now and then just to get some exercise…but theoretically, I could just sit for quite a long time. Recently, I leaned back, sighed, and kept dozing off. Of course, I was a bit tired at the time, but the comfort of the chair probably played a part in that.

All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase decision.
Of course, it can vary from person to person…for me, it’s a great fit.

I have only had the chair for 2 days and can already see a clear improvement in my back.
The springy seat parts and the movable backrests provide perfect support at all times and the strain on the back is significantly reduced.
The backrests can slide up and down flexibly, so that you always get the right support for your back when leaning back. The stable adjustment of the backrest also allows you to lean back a long way (slouch).
The chair seems stable and can be assembled by yourself within 15 minutes (without a lot of screwing with Allen keys etc.)
I had hoped that this chair would relieve the strain on the intervertebral discs, but the effect after sitting for a long time was a positive surprise. After several years with cheaper chairs, this was the right decision.
The communication with the owner, Mrs. Gruber, is also excellent. I had initially chosen a version that would not have suited me (it was for people with a hollow back) and was given the right version without any red tape. Ms. Gruber called several times to speak to me before shipping. To top it off, the goods were delivered even faster than planned. Overall, I am very satisfied with the chair and the customer service.

Unfortunately, I don’t suffer from back problems myself and I treated myself to the chair as a preventative measure, as I spend up to 12 hours a day at work – so I can’t say anything about any improvements that may occur with back problems.
The fact is: the first few days of “sitting in” take a lot of getting used to, but after that you find the chair extremely comfortable. The chair isn’t a guarantee of “correct” sitting either, as it can be adjusted in many ways – but the courteous telephone service will be happy to help you with that.

After 2 months, nothing on the chair wobbles and there are no other weaknesses (that’s what you should expect from a chair in this price category). Time will tell whether the chair was worth the money. I have some concerns about the backrest cushions – these are flexibly attached to the backrest using soft rubber.
If the plasticizer disappears from the rubber and you lean back incorrectly, it could be the end of the day. But we’ll see, maybe I’ll be proven wrong and I’ll stay positive until then.

If I notice anything negative, I’ll of course update this review.

(By the way: This is not a purchase confirmed by Amazon, as I first bought the “Zenon” model, but was advised to buy the Nietzsche on the phone – which turned out to be the right decision (at least I think so, as I don’t have anything to compare it to ;))

I got this chair from my office, so it was basically prescribed by the medical officer, because I have been suffering from back pain (BSW syndrome) and recently also in my hip for some time. The orthopedist diagnosed me with early coxarthrosis in the hip with cam impingement, great. Since I already knew the chair personally, I knew that I could sit on it wonderfully pain-free, even after several hours. And now it is the same in the office. I am delighted. The static charge mentioned here earlier has nothing to do with the chair, by the way, but with the combination of shoe soles and floor covering. But other office chairs rarely have exposed metal parts, so it seems that the chair is to blame, but it is not. If I really had to find something to complain about, it would be that the armrests cannot be raised or moved forwards sufficiently, but on the other hand they do not hit the desk. I also find the ironing device very practical, as I don’t like hanging my jackets together with other people’s in a smelly closet.

I have been using this chair for about 4 weeks, 8 hours a day…now I wouldn’t want to be without it. At first I was skeptical about the split backrest, which takes a bit of getting used to. Just like the sore muscles you feel in your back at first…but that subsides and I am really enthusiastic about this chair…after I ordered it, the company called me the next day and gave me friendly and very competent advice. Delivery was lightning fast and assembly was super easy…my thanks to the company and I would definitely recommend buying it.

I have owned the Hara chair “Nietzsche” for a good year. The two-part seating concept is first-class: you sit comfortably and a little more dynamically than on a normal chair; that is certainly not bad for your coccyx etc. In addition to the orthopedic advantages, you also have a temperature advantage in summer due to better breathability than on a full seat. However, after a year, the two-part backrest had increasingly annoyed my back (especially when leaning backwards, when the shoulder blades are under pressure and the spine is only indirectly supported). I emailed customer support and was called back the same day. Ms. Gruber was very friendly and just two days later I had the normal/full chair backrest of the Dolphin model at a reasonable price (the backrests can be easily exchanged thanks to the modular concept). That’s what customer support should be like; great!

The chair is world class in terms of workmanship, especially when sitting for long periods. I can only recommend this chair to anyone who has problems in the lower part of the spine.
It is very easy to assemble. The order from Hara was processed promptly. I was asked about my height and weight and was given a longer headrest. I wish that all companies were as friendly, competent and helpful as this one. THANK YOU. An extremely satisfied customer.

The two-part seat cushion means no pressure is placed on the coccyx, which is very stressed when sitting for long periods.

After a long search, I decided on the Nietzsche and have not regretted the purchase in the slightest. There isn’t much to read about Haratech on the internet, but the technology was too interesting not to give it a chance. The chair arrived 2 days after ordering, and everything was assembled another 10 minutes later. The necessary tools are included, as are German instructions.

The first impression is unusual; you have a bit of a feeling of “swimming”. Over time, however, the impression changes to a more pleasant one and after an hour of getting to know it, the Nietzsche is so comfortable that you simply don’t want to get up. The two halves of the seat adapt perfectly to every movement, and the backrests provide ideal support so that you can work at your desk for longer periods without any problems. If you fold the backrest backwards steplessly (!!!), the chair turns into a TV chair thanks to the adjustable headrest.

I have been using the Nietzsche for 2 weeks now, over 7 hours a day, and I can only recommend it. Also worth mentioning is the friendly support, who are happy to help with any questions. 5 stars from me.

I think office chairs in this price category are for people who have wanted a high quality seat for a long time and have perhaps used other chairs before.
I would like to encourage qualified answers here first and foremost.

What strikes me most, unfortunately only partially visible in one picture, is the thin, chrome-plated, curved sheet metal that holds the entire back and head structure. I already own a chair like this, which springs strongly backwards at this point when leaning back. And not because of any spring mechanism, but because of this sheet metal. Admittedly, at 100 kg, I am certainly not the lightest, so I also value stability.

We bought the chair almost 4 years ago directly from Hara Chair. After 4 years, I am still enthusiastic about the chair. I work at my desk for 8-10 hours almost every day, sometimes longer, and it is always comfortable and easy on my back. Of course, getting up and moving around every now and then is necessary for my back. After 4 years, I needed a new adjusting screw and the service was fantastic. Quick response to the email, great advice, replacement part was sent immediately. Simply outstanding!

I spent a LOT of hours researching the perfect office chair, but one that wasn’t astronomically expensive. I had my old chair for around 6 years and my bottom hurt unpleasantly after sitting for several hours. But since every chair – even those from the well-known premium brands with prices starting at 1000 euros – has a similar seat, I was very skeptical that I wouldn’t have the same problem again with them.

And then at some point I came across the Hara Chair, whose split seat made me very curious. I didn’t hesitate for long before buying it. Back in January 2014
it was still available for 579 euros.

Shortly after ordering, HaraTech called and asked about the reason for choosing the Nietzsche and any back problems. I only have mild and temporary back pain, but I would like to take precautions and, above all, be able to sit comfortably for long periods. And that is actually possible with the Hara Chair.

The seat is a delight! I got used to it after just a few hours and don’t find anything uncomfortable or strange about it. I often sit on it for 16+ hours a day and my bottom NEVER hurts. No feeling of pressure, no need to sit differently or shift from one cheek to the other. Before buying it, I thought the split seat technology was more of a gimmick and a superfluous unique selling point for marketing reasons, but it really works.

What I’m less convinced of is the split backrest, which I don’t always like the way it feels on my back. But that’s just a subjective feeling.

Unfortunately, the chair is made of too much plastic.
This is noticeable in the slightly rickety armrests. I would also have liked them to be rotatable and more adjustable in width. For broader people, they might be too tight. They are also quite hard. You can easily press them in – a bit like a slightly harder bicycle saddle. This quickly becomes uncomfortable if you lie on them for a long time. I cut thick foam to size and padded it with it.

Or the headrest bracket and locking screw. These are also made of plastic, which means that the headrest keeps slipping down (not immediately, but very slowly over hours), no matter how hard I turn it. The constant strain and movement simply loosens the construction.

Another small criticism for me is that the seat doesn’t tilt properly when you lean back. It’s not rigid, but a little more tilt wouldn’t have hurt.
That would make leaning back much more comfortable, I think. Unfortunately, you can’t tilt it forward, which is actually much more important for sitting healthily and upright.

I can’t confirm any static charges. Never happened before, but I’ve also used a carpet protector from the start.

tl;dr: For people who sit for long periods of time, like gamers and workaholics, sitting pain-free is possible with this!

At first I was skeptical because of the somewhat strange appearance, which is somewhat reminiscent of a science fiction or dentist’s chair. But appearance was only a secondary reason for me to buy this chair. I wanted something good for my body during the many hours at the desk.

After the chair arrived, my first praise was for how well it was assembled. It does look confusing at first with twenty or thirty parts that you fish out of the box. All the parts are carefully packaged, which makes it a bit of work to take apart. However, the actual assembly is surprisingly easy. You hardly need to screw anything and everything fits together to form a stable whole.

Sitting on the chair quickly gives you a relaxing feeling. The adjustment options are sufficient for my needs. The maximum seat height could have been a little higher. For me (approx. 195 cm) it is just about sufficient.

It comes with castors that also seem to be suitable for smooth floors.

Actually, the only major criticism is the rather high price. For 150 euros less it probably would have done the job.

For the past 5 years, this chair has allowed me to sit at my desk in my home office for several hours without any problems and to work without any pain. The chair has enough movement in its elements so that it doesn’t “freeze” while sitting. It is also suitable for tall people, as I have no problems with my height of 1.95m.

After visiting the importer, trying it out and getting advice, I ordered this chair and have been using it for about 2 months now.

It is the most comfortable thing I have ever sat on and the color is fantastic. I ordered it completely in orange, including the headrest and seat, which meant a little longer delivery time because the chair had to be ordered from Korea. But the chair still arrived quicker than the manufacturer said. So they keep their promises 😉

Everything can be adjusted to the body size, but I sometimes wish the headrest was a little closer to my head. I usually put it forward so that it is still on my neck, but then it is almost horizontal to my head.

The chair also has small defects in the backrest mounting brackets; For seating comfort, very rubbery plastic is used here so that the backrest flexibly hugs the back in any sitting position. This has the disadvantage that the corresponding screw connection quickly comes loose and then the chair makes noises. These screws should therefore be tightened more often for the sake of durability.

The plastic holders on the backrest burst open at the cast seam after just 3 months, this really shouldn’t happen, even if the functionality is still there. But I will probably report these parts as a warranty case soon in order to get a replacement…

The fabric of the seat is also a little too hard, so that it constricts at the back of the knees.

The armrests have a little play, but this is not a problem. They are also a little too hard, which is due to the nature of the material.

Other than that, I haven’t noticed anything else so far. The chair massages really well while you sit, so that you can sit on it for a long time even if you have a bad back. I had sore muscles in my buttocks on the first day after sitting for 8 hours, but I’ve gotten used to it now 😉

The chair actually came in the color I wanted, with unstopped rubber castors, so for the price it offers the necessary individuality when ordering. If you sit on a chair for 8 hours or more a day, it is definitely worth the money (if you don’t have varicose veins in the back of your knees 😉

As a second chair for home or for shorter periods of sitting, I would buy a cheaper chair again, as the price is very high. I’m curious to see how long the chair lasts. Then it will be easier to say whether it was really worth that much money…

1A service. I ordered the chair directly from the website and received a call back the next day. I was given extensive advice and recommendations for suitable individual parts. A few things are interchangeable depending on body size. I informed them of my transfer and the delivery was sent out immediately, even though the money was still on the way. Great! The chair was very easy to assemble. Unfortunately the armrests were not suitable for me. But here too, top service was offered. New armrests were sent to me immediately and now fit. So service 5 stars with an extra star.

About the chair itself. I am very happy with it, but have only been using it for about 2 weeks. Sitting on it is very comfortable. I definitely get the feeling that it is good for my intervertebral discs. I have not been so tense since I got the chair. The backrest also feels good, which I wasn’t so sure about at first. There are only 2 small things that bother me. The seat is a bit too short for me, unfortunately there is no longer one, or it can’t be moved forward. I’m quite tall (approx. 1.97m) and my thighs stick out quite a bit when I’m sitting upright. The second problem bothers me a bit more. The chair constantly charges up on the carpet, regardless of whether I’m wearing shoes, socks or even barefoot (I’ve tried it). I then bought an antistatic floor mat. I thought that would solve the problem. But I haven’t gotten rid of the problem completely. The backrest still charges up and I have no idea why. You can also hear a crackling sound when you move away from the backrest. I have the chair version with fabric.

Sitting is more important, however, and the chair does that very well. However, I have to deduct one star because of the additional mat required and the remaining problem with the charging.

I recently had problems with a nerve that was trapped and inflamed by a crushed disc. The road to recovery was difficult and required a lot of effort on my part, but this chair saved me many a day at work when things were at their worst.

The support functions of the various backrests are excellent. It is best to ask Harastuhl in advance which backrest is best for you.

Finally, I would like to add that the chair alone cannot work miracles. You have to work on your individual problems yourself and see a doctor if necessary.
If you don’t have any back problems yet, I can only advise you to take preventative measures and to stretch and move regularly.

I sit in the office for up to 14 hours a day. Since I got my Hara chair, I’ve been feeling much better physically. I had high expectations, but my expectations were exceeded by far! I recommend it to anyone who spends their working life at a desk.
The lumbar support is quite pronounced and seems a bit intrusive at first. After a few days of getting used to it, I missed it when I was sitting in the car, for example. 🙂
Plus great customer service, fast and reliable delivery… It couldn’t be better!
